Production Manager

Are you a seasoned Leader with a passion and knowledge for Food Production? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where innovation and teamwork are key? We're seeking a dynamic Food Production Manager to lead our talented team of 15 staff members and drive excellence in our operations.

Location: East Tāmaki

Shift: Monday to Friday 7am to 3.30pm (cover where needed including some weekends)

Rate: $40 per hour + Annual Leave

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day production activities, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.

Lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Troubleshoot machinery and equipment issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Implement and optimize production schedules to meet customer demands and production targets.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate supplies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and innovation initiatives.

Maintain compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in food production management, with a track record of success.

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery effectively.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

Solid understanding of production processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
